Stingray
Stingray stands for state-of-the-art technological equipment at its production facilities in South Carolina, USA. The workmanship and finish of the more than 20 Stingray boat models currently in production are highly praised accordingly
Content
Stingray is one of the leading powerboat builders in the USA. The company was founded in 1979 by Al Fink and has remained independent to this day, meaning it was never "swallowed up" by any consortium.
Today, the yard in Hartville, South Carolina produces 23 models on 225,000 square meters of floor space using state-of-the-art production methods.
A consistently implemented strategy
Like other leading US yards, Stingray's model range embodies "The Art of American Boatbuilding" – models are consistently built in the typical American style and successfully brought to market. Center console/deck boats, sport decks, sport boats for specific uses such as wave boarding, water skiing and the like, and a dual console boat as the flagship, are guarantees of success for Stingray. And have been for decades.
The quality of the boats is considered outstanding. When it comes to the finish in particular, Stingray shows quite a few of its direct US competitors how it's done. Stingray boats are also credited with offering good value for money.
Becoming part of the big family
The marketing strategy is typically American too (and can be taken quite literally, by the way). Quote from the website: "Stingray is family oriented. When you become a Stingray owner, you join a larger family made up of highly skilled employees, professional and knowledgeable dealers and many other proud Stingray owners."
