More than 60 years of nautical history – Sessa is today not only one of the biggest names in the industry, but can also draw on an enormous wealth of experience.
Content
Sessa powerboats, or motor yachts, are considered true icons of style and design within the industry. Their build quality has always been exemplary, their handling exemplary, and life on board thoroughly luxurious.
Sessa Marine is one of the few large shipyards that did not start out building boats, but instead initially devoted itself entirely to what were then novel materials: plastic composites and fiberglass. It was only ten years after the company was founded in 1958 that Sessa launched its first powerboats on the Italian market, marking the beginning of a unique success story.
From plastics producer to luxury yacht shipyard
With the rather simple company philosophy of "build well, use first-class materials and strictly monitor every single work process", the shipyard in Bergamo rose to become one of the industry leaders. With the guiding principle "Power of Style", Sessa sums up the two most important characteristics of its yachts: plenty of punch under the hood and iconic design.
In 2006, the shipyard expanded to Florida, USA; two years later Sessa launched a new flagship and entered the luxury yacht market with a length of over 20 meters. A year later, the yard received the internationally coveted "Boat of the Year" award from the US magazine "Boating". In 2011, Sessa set up another production facility in Brazil, serving the Latin American market directly on site.
Focus on design
In 2018, Sessa gave almost every boat in its range a design relaunch, which was mainly reflected in generous side windows that brightened up the boats' interiors.
Sessa Marine currently offers three high-quality model lines, from open sport boats to flybridge yachts, in sizes ranging from 24 to 68 feet. With over 20,000 boats built, most of which are still on the water, the Italian shipyard and its international outlook can count itself among the big names in the business.
