The Slovenian shipyard Greenline Boats is something of a "young legend" in the industry. Greenline yachts are not only built in a country that National Geographic named the "world's most sustainable country" in 2020 – as a shipyard with more than 430 employees, Greenline has also made that commitment its mission.
Put differently: Greenline builds fully electric and hybrid powered cruising yachts that have few equals on the international market.
The premise: fewer emissions, more resource efficiency
In 2008, Greenline launched the first production hybrid motor yacht. With that coup, it moved to the forefront of what is arguably the most important segment of the yacht market, because it is the most future-oriented.
Greenline yachts are offered in all size classes, both as fully electric and as hybrid (diesel/electric) powered yachts. According to the shipyard, they deliver "environmental protection without sacrificing comfort" and, alongside the engine options mentioned, they implement various sustainable concepts on board. Solar panels for electricity consumption are integrated into the cabin roofs, for example, all Greenline yachts feature integrated vacuum infusion technology, and innovative, eco-friendly materials such as PET foam core, grass paper and recycled materials are used above all in the interior fit-out.
Eco-friendly propulsion – high onboard comfort
But Greenline cruisers are not known only for their environmentally conscious construction and their modern forms of propulsion. They are also more than convincing when it comes to comfort underway. Because most of the heavy components are mounted in the deepest part of the hull, Greenlines have a low center of gravity, which makes them less prone to rolling and comparatively stable at sea – whether stationary, for example at anchor, or under way.
A broad product range
As of 2022, the Slovenian Greenline yachts are offered in the following model sizes: 33, 39, 40, 45, 48, 58 and 68 feet in length. Every model can be ordered with electric, hybrid or diesel propulsion.
