1. Can I edit the listing later?

You can edit your listing at any time. This applies to both active and inactive listings. To edit your listing, log in to your account and click Edit listing. Make your changes, then click Save listing to finish. If you have any problems editing your listing, please contact our support team.


2. Why can't I log in to my account?

4. Why am I not receiving any leads by email?

  • You might not have received any leads yet.
  • Your mailbox may be full.
  • Check if any leads ended up in your spam folder.
  • Check your account. All leads sent via the contact form are saved there.
  • Your email address contains a typo. In that case, please contact our support team. Please include your listing number or invoice number.

5. I edited my listing but don't see any changes.

Sometimes your web browser may load the page from the local cache. To make sure your listing is fully reloaded, you can refresh the page with the (F5) key.


6. I posted my listing yesterday, but I can't find it on the first few pages.

All listings are reshuffled every day at midnight. This ensures you still have a good chance of selling, even with longer-running listings.


7. My listing expires tomorrow. Where can I renew it?

  • We'll send you an email as soon as your listing is deactivated. If you'd like to reactivate it, just click the activation link included in the email.
  • In your account, you can extend your listing at any time. Click the 'Extend duration' button directly below your listing.

8. Why can't I upload my photos?

  • Check the file format. Only *.jpg, *.jpeg, *.png or *.gif photos are accepted.
  • You can add up to 100 images to your listing.
  • The images may be too large.

9. Why are my photos blurry?

Your photos will look pixelated if the resolution is too low. Use a larger image size. We recommend at least 800x600 pixels.


10. I've sold my boat and don't want to receive any more leads. How do I delete my listing?

Log in to your account on Boat24. On the homepage, click "Delete listing".


11. Where can I view my listing statistics?

Log in to your Boat24 account. Click the Statistics link to see the number of views for your listing. Hover over a date to see the number of visitors per day.


12. Why can't I find my listing on Boat24?

  • Your listing can only be found using the attributes you enter. When searching for your boat, use only keywords that actually appear in your listing title.
  • When creating your listing, make sure the manufacturer, type and category are correct. Think about the keywords people will use to find your listing.
  • Make sure you've posted your listing on Boat24 and that you're searching on Boat24 too. Unfortunately, some competitors operate under very similar names.

13. I posted a listing for 90 days. After one month, I had already sold the boat. Is a partial refund of the listing fee possible?

As set out in our Terms and Conditions, paid fees are non-refundable. Deleting your listing early does not constitute cancellation of the contract, because Boat24 has provided the agreed service once a submitted listing on the servers of Boat24 has been processed and approved for publication.


14. Your email address is not displayed. How can a prospective buyer contact you?

Interested buyers can contact you via the contact form or the phone number you provided. To protect you from fraud and spam, your email address is not shown.


15. Why aren't my email address, phone number and description displayed?

For security reasons, each listing is reviewed before it goes live. Depending on workload, this may take up to one working day. Thanks for your understanding.


16. How much does it cost to publish a listing on Boat24?

  • Listing fees depend on the duration.
  • The sales options on Boat24 significantly increase listing visibility. And the more people notice your listing, the better your chances of selling.
  • No additional costs or success fees.

17. Why is my listing no longer online even though I've just paid for a sales option?

You can only purchase selling options in addition to your listing's duration. If the current duration is less than 30 days, the selling option will only be active for the remaining time. You can extend the listing duration at any time; the selling option will then be active again for the booked period.


18. I selected the "Invoice" payment method but haven't received an invoice yet. Why?

  • If you requested the invoice by email, check your email address for typos, make sure your mailbox isn't full, and check your spam folder.
  • When sent by post, it may take a few days for your invoice to arrive. If you still haven't received it after 7 business days, please check your billing address.
  • You can view your invoices anytime in your account. Log in to your account on Boat24. Then click Invoices to see an overview of all your invoices. You can also view the current payment status there.

19. Why am I not getting any new listings for my saved search?

  • There may not be any newly listed boats matching your search criteria.
  • Check your email address for typos, make sure your mailbox isn't full, and check your spam folder.
  • Email notifications are disabled. You can change this setting in your account.

20. Where can I delete a saved search?

You can manage your saved searches in your account and delete them at any time.


21. How can I create my listing in multiple languages?

All standard fields are automatically translated into all languages we offer. The only exception is the 'Remarks' field, which is not translated. If you have additional remarks about your listing, we recommend entering them in English.


22. Does my listing also appear on other country pages?

Your listing is automatically translated and appears on all country-specific pages and on all domains we operate: boat24.ch, boot24.ch, bateau24.ch, barca24.ch and the international platform boat24.com


23. Can I change the category of my listing later?

Each category has its own parameters that only apply within that category. Changing the category afterwards would mean those parameters no longer fit your listing. Because buyers mostly search using these parameters, your listing may no longer be correctly matched and might not be found.

Each listing also receives a unique ID when it's created. We use this ID to store, link and transfer all data on our servers. For these reasons, changing the category later isn't possible. You'll find a note about this in our Terms and Conditions (section 7) and in our Listing Terms. If you chose the wrong category, please contact our support team.


24. Can I activate the listing later?

Your listing or draft is saved in your account and can be activated or reactivated at any time.
