This Windy 8000 from 1994 is a Scandinavian sports cruiser with classic lines. The white hull with its turquoise and purple stripes, the low wraparound windscreen and the long sunpad at the stern give the boat a timeless character. Windy of Norway has stood for solid construction, good handling and high-quality finish for decades. The boat is in good condition.

With a length of 8.00 metres and a beam of 2.80 metres, the Windy 8000 offers room for up to 9 people. The cockpit is fitted with two comfortable bucket seats for helmsman and co-pilot. A bimini top provides shade. Aft lies the large sunpad, and behind it the bathing platform and swim ladder lead straight into the water. The bow rail and the grab rail on the windscreen give a secure hold when mooring.

Below deck there is a surprisingly generous cabin with plenty of teak. The dinette with its large wooden table seats the whole crew, and in the bow there is a wide double berth with deck hatch and curtains. The galley has a stainless steel sink with cover as well as storage lockers and drawers. A separate heads compartment with marine toilet, washbasin and mirror completes the accommodation.

The helm is classic in style: wooden steering wheel, analogue instruments with rev counter and speedometer, compass, a Raymarine display, the control panel for the trim tabs and a switch panel with illuminated toggle switches.

The Windy is powered by a Volvo Penta 570 DP, a 5.7-litre V8 petrol engine with 180 kW (approx. 245 hp) and Duoprop sterndrive. The counter-rotating twin propellers deliver strong thrust, a quick transition onto the plane and clean handling in turns. Trim tabs make it easy to level the boat under different loads.
