Die STENELLA ist ein einzigartiges Schiff, das 2019 in Mallorca vom Stapel gelassen wurde und sich zu einem Vorbild für nachhaltige nautische Innovation im Mittelmeerraum entwickelt hat. Die Auszeichnung mit dem Timon-Preis für Innovation bestätigt ihre Vorreiterrolle beim Nachweis, dass es möglich ist, auf umweltfreundliche Weise auf See zu navigieren und zu arbeiten.
Die STENELLA wird vollständig mit Solarenergie betrieben und reduziert Emissionen und Unterwasserlärm auf ein Minimum. Damit ist sie ein echtes Vorbild für die Energiewende auf See. Sie ist mehr als nur ein Schiff, sie ist eine schwimmende Forschungs- und Bildungsstation: Sie verfügt über Sonden und Sensoren zur Messung der Luft- und Wasserqualität, zur Erfassung von Umwelteinflüssen und zur Sammlung von Daten, die in Überwachungs- und Naturschutzprojekte einfließen.

Die STENELLA ist auch ein Ort der Ausbildung und Sensibilisierung. An Bord finden Workshops, Bildungsausflüge und bürgerwissenschaftliche Aktivitäten statt, bei denen Schüler und Besucher zu Protagonisten des Wandels werden. Ihr Ziel ist es, zu zeigen, dass technologische Innovation mit dem Schutz der Meere und der Einbindung der lokalen Bevölkerung Hand in Hand gehen kann.
Die Stenella hat eine Spanische Charterlizenz die übernommen werden kann, auch können mit dieser Bewilligung Rundfahrten rund um Mallorca angeboten werden.

The STENELLA is a unique vessel that was launched in Mallorca in 2019 and has become a model of sustainable nautical innovation in the Mediterranean. Winning the Timon Award for Innovation confirms her pioneering role in proving that it is possible to navigate and work at sea in an environmentally friendly way.
The STENELLA is powered entirely by solar energy and reduces emissions and underwater noise to a minimum. This makes her a real role model for the energy transition at sea. She is more than just a ship, she is a floating research and education station: she has probes and sensors to measure air and water quality, record environmental influences and collect data to feed into monitoring and nature conservation projects.

The STENELLA is also a place for education and awareness-raising. Workshops, educational excursions and citizen science activities take place on board, where students and visitors become protagonists of change. Its aim is to show that technological innovation can go hand in hand with the protection of the oceans and the involvement of the local population.
The Stenella has a Spanish charter license that can be taken over, and with this permit, round trips around Mallorca can be offered.
