Der RS 700 begeistert anspruchsvolle, agile Einhandsegler. Mindestens so schnell wie sein bekanntester Mitstreiter. Aber mit Sicherheit einfacher zu handhaben. Nicht für jeden. Aber für Alle, denen Action, Agilität und Herausforderung beim Segeln wichtig sind.

Viel Segelfläche, ein ultra-leichter Rumpf und dazu noch Racks/Ausleger, Trapez und Gennaker: Das alles einhand zu bedienen ist nicht jedermanns Sache. Aber wer es packt, der bekommt ein Maximum an Segel-Spaß! Und das bereits ab 2 Windstärken!

"Ich werde oft gefragt, welches das schnellste Einhandskiff ist. Ich rate den Leuten, mal in die RYA-Yardstickzahlen zu schauen. RS700 und MustoSkiff sind gleich schnell oder der RS700 ist schneller. Ich denke, es kommt bei solchen Skiffs sowieso weitgehend auf das Können des Seglers an. Aber welches der beiden Boote einfach zu handhaben ist, das weiß ich genau: Einhand-Gennakerbedienung, vorne viel Volumen im Rumpf, ein Rest von Cockpit statt Arbeitsplattform und das nicht komplett durchgelattete Segel machen den RS700 deutlich realistischer handhabbar. Auch, wenn Sie nicht mehr 20 Jahre alt sind und 4x die Woche zum Sport gehen oder jeden zweiten Tag segeln können."

The RS 700 inspires demanding, agile single-handed sailors. At least as fast as its best-known competitor. But certainly easier to handle. Not for everyone. But for everyone for whom action, agility and challenge are important when sailing.

Lots of sail area, an ultra-light hull and racks/booms, harness and gennaker: handling all this single-handed is not everyone's cup of tea. But if you can handle it, you'll have maximum sailing fun! And that from as little as 2 wind forces!

"I'm often asked which is the fastest single-handed skiff. I advise people to take a look at the RYA yardstick figures. The RS700 and MustoSkiff are equally fast or the RS700 is faster. I think it largely depends on the skill of the sailor anyway. But I know exactly which of the two boats is easier to handle: one-handed gennaker operation, a lot of volume in the front of the hull, a residual cockpit instead of a working platform and the sail that is not fully battened make the RS700 much more realistic to handle. Even if you are no longer 20 years old and can go to the gym four times a week or sail every other day."
